What Our Work IS...and ISN'TWhat our work ISN'TOur work is not about developing structure or systems or processes. Our work is not about fixing things, or changing things. It is not about better ways of doing things. It is not change management or re-engineering or strategic planning. It is not about implementing a better methodology or about process improvement. It is not about raising employee morale or outstanding customer service. It is not about higher productivity or better leadership.While these things are tremendously useful for organizational performance, they are not the focus of our work. At the same time, they all do occur naturally in the process of a full-scale transformational initiative. For example, in every engagement where our client used quality measures and/or employee satisfaction measures, the results in these two areas dramatically increased yet we spent no time focused on either. What our work ISOur work is about people individuals, teams, departments, whole organizations going beyond their perceived limits to reach greater levels of accomplishment and satisfaction. It is about people aligning on a shared future, committing to shared values and principles, and then bringing into existence that which never has been. It is about unleashing the natural power inherent in an organization where people are passionately committed to fulfilling a vision. It is about every individual in the organization making a valued contribution of which they can be proud. It is about people working together synergistically, in coordinated action, to accomplish that which they hold as highly desirable.Our work is about supporting you in creating an organizational context in which far-reaching change can occur rapidly and effortlessly. It is about generating a new organizational context in which improvements, implementing new methodologies, committing to new standards of excellence, developing new capacities, and setting new performance records and are a natural occurrence. While much of our work is about people, it is far from "soft." It deals with the tough human issues that must be resolved for people working in concert with one another to accomplish that which is extraordinary issues like commitment, accountability, integrity, giving and keeping one's word, open and honest communication, trust, collaboration, empowering others and producing results. It has to do with people going beyond their perceived limits individual and collectively and having fun in the process. Our work is about having your organization be a place where people love to come to work. |
